Working with Susana changed my life.  When I started, I was at my highest weight ever and on cholesterol medicine I didn’t want to take.  I was long overdue to change my lifestyle and had been on every diet out there from shakes to giving myself shots.  I love food, and I really don’t like being hungry.

With Susana’s knowledge, I am actually eating more now, enjoying my meals and never feeling deprived or hungry. She gave me easy and useful suggestions to make life changes.  I have lost 45 lbs, gotten off 2 prescription medications and reduced my cholesterol.  My cravings for sugar and processed foods are gone.  Most important, I feel fabulous and satisfied eating plenty of simple, real foods. Susana is an exceptional role model and a positive mentor.

When I started working individually with Susana I had come from the ‘calorie counting’ mentality. Her work helped me realize fat is a positive and energizing aspect to our diets. She met me with compassion, and I always felt supported and encouraged. Susana makes a space to learn about my body and getting to the core of ‘hunger’ & ‘appetite’, and then to make the best choices to fuel the body.

I also worked on the real food challenge with her and a group, and again, her leadership allowed the participants to feel engaged and willing to make lifestyle changes, knowing that clean eating does not have to be drastic, but it is all about stepping stones to a healthier lifestyle. I ate so many nuts, but I was still able to lose 3 pounds in 7 days, and have kept this off even after the completion of the challenge.

Susana’s best strength is being available, open, and helping you realize perfection is not the goal, but instead livable changes.

Susana gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. Thanks to my upbringing, I already cooked most of my own meals and enjoyed eating vegetables, but Susana helped me look closely at the ingredients I use and identify the little bad habits that can add up in a day.

She has the right balance of cheerful encouragement and pushes you to reach your goals. It’s obvious she cares for her clients and loves her work!
